A Ski Resort Project Of Swing Gate In China

A Ski Resort Project Of Swing Gate In China

2026-03-10

Case: Application of a Low-Temperature Swing Gate System at a Large Ski Resort

1. Project Background

With the increasing popularity of winter sports, ski resorts both domestically and internationally are demanding more intelligent and automated management. Ski resorts experience high daily visitor traffic and operate in unique environments, with winter temperatures often dropping to -25°C or even lower. Traditional access control equipment is prone to problems such as operational malfunctions, electronic component failures, and surface corrosion in low-temperature environments. Therefore, this ski resort chose to deploy a dedicated low-temperature swing gate system for its new visitor entrance system to meet the needs for efficient, safe, and stable entry management.

2. Project Requirements and Challenges

Stable Operation at Low Temperatures: The equipment must operate stably for extended periods in environments as cold as -30°C.

High Durability:The equipment must be adaptable to icy and humid environments, and be corrosion-resistant and impact-resistant.

Aesthetics: As the "first impression" of the ski resort, the equipment needs to be harmonious with the overall snow and ice landscape style.

High Traffic Efficiency:During peak hours, with dense visitor flow, the access control equipment must respond quickly to avoid queuing and congestion.

Intelligent Management: Supports multiple ticketing methods including card swiping, QR code scanning, e-tickets, and membership systems.

3. Solution Considering the unique environment of ski resorts, this project adopts an ultra-low temperature protected intelligent swing gate system, with several optimizations in design and configuration:

3.1.Ultra-Low Temperature Design, Stable and Reliable: The core mechanism uses a low-temperature dedicated motor and an industrial-grade control system. An internal low-temperature lubrication system and constant temperature protection design ensure smooth opening and closing of the swing gate even at -30℃. Key electronic components are all industrial-grade low-temperature devices, effectively avoiding circuit failures caused by low temperatures.

3.2.High-Strength Structure, Durable and Corrosion-Resistant:

The swing gate body uses a unibody 304 stainless steel structure with an anti-corrosion treatment, effectively resisting corrosion from ice, snow, moisture, and melted snow salt. The swing arm is made of high-strength materials, possessing excellent impact resistance and adaptable to scenarios with frequent passage of skis, ski equipment, and other gear.

3.3. Aesthetically pleasing design, blending seamlessly into the snowy environment:
The swing gates feature a simple, streamlined design, incorporating LED indicator lights and ski resort visual elements. This gives the access equipment a high-tech feel while perfectly integrating it with the modern landscape of the ski resort, enhancing the overall image of the entrance area.

3.4. Efficient passage, improved visitor experience:
The swing gates support multiple verification methods, including QR code ticketing, IC cards, e-tickets, and facial recognition. Visitors can quickly complete identity verification and achieve rapid passage. The equipment can process 30-40 people per minute per passage, effectively alleviating queuing pressure during peak periods.

3.5. Intelligent system integration, convenient management:
The system can seamlessly integrate with the ski resort's ticketing platform, membership management system, and back-end data platform, enabling real-time visitor flow statistics, ticket verification, and anti-double-entry management, providing accurate data support for operators.

4. Value Brought to Customers

Improved Operational Efficiency: The automated ticketing system reduces the workload of manual ticket checking.

Optimized Visitor Experience: Faster passage and reduced queuing time.

Reduced Maintenance Costs: Low-temperature resistant design significantly reduces equipment failure rates.

Enhanced Brand Image: The high-end intelligent entrance system enhances the overall quality of the ski resort.
